Cherries Are In Season! This is what I made myself for lunch ...

Romaine lettuce, sweet cherry tomato, baby cucumber, Vidalia onion, fresh ripe Bing cherries (pitted), salad dressing of your choice.

See my cherry pitter there? Put the cherry in stem side up (stem removed), squeeze. The pit pops right out!

What is your favorite or most unusual kitchen tool?

  4. That looks delicious! I just bought some cherries this afternoon.

I'm not sure that I have a favorite kitchen tool. I do like the food processor.

  5. that salad looks divine! Handy cherry picker! For me, it's anything I can use with cheese: most often a cheese grater... {:-D

So, Re, you are participating in Alphabe-Thursday now? Great!
My favorite right now (because I just used it, and because my daughter gave it to me, and because, well, I love what it makes) is a Cuisinart popcorn popper!

  8. That looks yummy! That gadget is neat too! I don't have a kitchen tool since I don't cook but my hubby has lots of gadgets in there that I'm not allowed to use! :)
